P.O. Box 94 Aircraft Maintenance: Climbing to New Heights! On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to announce that the 34th Annual Atlantic Region Airfraft Maintenance conference will be held on March 21st – 23rd, 2012 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel, located on the city’s historic waterfront in Halifax Nova Scotia. The theme of the ARAMC 2012 conference is Aircraft Maintenance: Climbing to New Heights! The hotel has reserved a block of rooms for the conference delegates at the special conference rate os $129 CAD per night. This room block will be available until Feb. 21st, 2012. After this date, the hotel will guarantee the “conference room rate” based on availability. We strongly urge you make your reservations early to ensure that a room is available. The ARAMC registration desk will be at your service, commencing Wednesday afternoon. It will be located adjacent to the display and conference area on the 2nd floor. Wednesday evening is our annual “Meet and Greet”. This is a great opportunity to renew old acquaintances. Come early and enjoy some Nova Scotia hospitality. The tentative 2012 Technical Program, begins on Thursday morning. It promises to be interesting and very informative for AME’s, apprentices, student, aircraft owners and operators. Many of the presentations were selected from the ARAMC 2011 critique sheets. The curriculum meets the Transport Canada Up-date training requirements as outlined in CAR 573.06. ARAMC 2012 is a forum where aviation personnel and distributors interact and conduct business. We expect to have over 38 display booths. A displayer sponsored luncheon will be held Thursday, March 22nd for all registered delegates. We will not have an organized ladies program this year, as Halifax has great shopping and sightseeing to take in and this will allow everyone to do their own thing. There will be ample opportunity for the ladies to gather and share coffee and muffins after the opening remarks on Thursday morning. A meeting room will be set aside for this purpose. Thursday evening promises to be an exciting event. Our annual Awards Banquet will be held. This is our opportunity to honor those outstanding Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and their companies in the Atlantic Region for their contributions to their trade. The nomination forms will be available on our website. The entertainment for the evening promises to end the night with a laugh. Friday, March 23rd, is another day for the Technical Program and displays. For more info on the conference, visit our website at www.atlanticame.ca and proceed to the ARAMC 2012 conference link. We are looking forward to seeing you here in Halifax and appreciate your continued support of our conference.
